What is Wallenberg's syndrome?
Also called as lateral medullary syndrome is a syndrome that occurs due to the occlusion of the posterior inferior cerebellar artery. The signs and symptoms are as follows:
- Sudden episode of vertigo
- Dysphagia and vomitings
- Contralaterally: Hemiperesis
- Ipsilaterally: Facial numbness, diplopia, nystagmus, ataxia and Horner syndrome
