What is the basis and significance of all or none law
It means that when a nerve or muscle is excited beyond its threshold then it will undergo excitation and pass through the signal no matter what potiential is used to generate it. And it will remain in a state of relaxtion as long as no excitation is given to the nerve or if the current is less than the threshold level.
All or none law states that , when the stimulus is given to a muscle or nerve fiber, it excite to a maximum extent or it does not responds to it.
This signifies that the stimulus is below the sub-threshold level, then no excitation is seen. If the stimulus reaches the threshold level or intensity greater than threshold level the excitation is same , irrespective of the strength of stimuli.
